Device Loan Program

Student Housing and Conference Services are excited to announce its device loan program! This new initiative aims to leverage accessible technological products and hardware for all of our residential students! Similarly matching the Oviatt Library's device loan program, ours will allow residential students to come to the Learning Center (building 21) to rent out our available laptops and devices for 7 days at a time!

This year, we have noticed that students have had several issues obtaining a laptop for academic purposes, have had incidents that have led them to be computer less, or have had issues walking back and forth at night from the library to Housing. In Student Housing, we believe that an equitable experience is vital to the success of all of our students. The ability to access technological hardware, such as a laptop, continues to be an issue for 21st-century students across the nation--all of which led us to create this program here, in Housing.

Currently, we have a limited stock of Google Chromebooks that are available, but the growth of this initiative depends on you! The more we see that there is a need for more laptops, or even specific types of laptops (e.g. Microsoft Surface Book, MacBook Pro, etc.), tablets (e.g. iPads, iPad Pros, Surface Pro), or software, the better justification we have to purchase more laptops and tablets!

Go to the Learning Center, now, to reserve your computer!

*A valid CSUN student or employee ID is required.
