The Badge Project is a peer mentorship program designed to support transfer students as they transition to life at CSUN. Through small-group or one-on-one workshops, personalized skill-building guidance, and a strong peer support network, the program helps you confidently navigate your academic and professional journey.

Badge Project Workshops
Our workshops will be offered in-person (Monday’s, Wednesday’s) and via Zoom (Friday) in Spring 2026:

If you choose the virtual option, you will be provided with instructions on how to access the Zoom workshop after you have RSVP-ed for a workshop.

Interested in a career in research but not sure where to start? Schedule session with a Peer Mentor or Grad Mentor to explore Research Pathways for Transfer Students.
No experience needed—just bring your curiosity and excitement. In your session, you’ll learn about different research careers, the skills required, and the steps to get there. Your mentor will help you explore your options and guide you toward the path that fits you best.
Join us for the Academic Organization workshop, where our facilitators will help you create a practical and effective study plan that balances your academic requirements with your personal life. Learn how to integrate your coursework and campus activities into your daily routine, so you can achieve your goals while maintaining your well-being.
Feeling unsure about what to expect from academic advising or what questions to ask? This workshop is designed to help transfer students feel confident and prepared for their advising appointments. You’ll learn how to understand your degree requirements, plan your courses, and make the most of your time with an academic advisor so you can stay on track and move confidently toward graduation.
