The CSUN Aquatic Center mission is to provide valuable recreation and educational programs to the greater CSUN Community. The following programs and services are available to CSUN Students, Faculty and Staff.
Aquatic Center- CSUN Programs
CSUN Boating Workshops
The CSUN Aquatic Center Hosts a variety of Open Recreation Classes. These not for credit workshops are available to current CSUN students, faculty and staff. Open Rec Classes are three hour long workshops where you can learn a new skill or continue to develop your boating hobby. Courses are held as AM sessions (10:00 - 12:00) or PM sessions (1:00 - 3:00). Workshops are FREE for CSUN Students and $10 for CSUN Student Faculty and Staff. Workshops include lifeguards/boating instructors, all necessary boating equipment and waived entrance fees into Castaic Lake Recreation area.

CSUN Free- Community Boating Days
Always wanted to try Paddle Boarding? Whether you are looking for an exciting day of trying something new like kayaking or looking to lounge around next to the lake the CSUN Aquatic Center is hosting, free, open recreation days at Lake Castaic.

- Beach Activities
CSUN will provide all the boats and equipment. Join us any time from 9:00 am till 4:00 pm to practice, play, learn and hang out on your own.

CSUN Outdoor Adventures
CSUN Associated Students Outdoor Adventures provides Outdoor Experiences for anyone and everyone. Outdoor Adventures runs trips from CSUN Campus to the Aquatic Center throughout the year. Check out their offerings at their website by clicking HERE

Everybody Boats- Commitment to Inclusive Recreation
The CSUN Aquatic Center strives to make all its programming and activities open to everyone, regardless of physical limitations, developmental differences, or unique health issues. We need your help and communication to reach our goals of accommodating all boating experiences. Please let us know if any youth, students, staff or volunteers, might need additional resources to maximize their day on the water. Please share any; developmental delays, disabilities, learning disabilities, limited mobility, visual or audio impairment, etc.
CSUN Recreation Tourism Management- Academic Courses
CSUN Department of Recreation Tourism Management (RTM) provides academic credit courses at the Aquatic Center. CSUN educators provide the highest caliber of instruction on Flat water boating, Wakeboarding and WaterSkiing, Sailing, and many other offerings. Courses are offered during the Spring, and Fall Semesters.
