yugandhar ramakrishnaHHD welcomes Yugandhar Ramakrishna to our faculty this fall.  Ramakrishna is an Assistant Professor and a Doctor of Audiology in the Department of Communication Disorders and Sciences.

During his dual doctorate program (AuD and PhD) he specialized in vestibular disorders (balance and dizziness) which also involved neurologic scientific discoveries to improve balance disorders in animals. He has a strong background in clinical experience, teaching and research.

With nearly a decade of his career as an audiologist, he served people with hearing loss, tinnitus, and balance issues, and he brings his passion for teaching to the CSUN Doctor of Audiology program. Ramakrishna advocates for addressing the lack of vestibular services especially among elder populations, and he is determined to improve services to these groups.

At CSUN, along with his research on current hearing issues and balance issues targeting both young and elder populations, he is teaching doctoral students and providing clinical services for people with both hearing and balance issues.

Ramakrishna earned his PhD and Doctor of Audiology degrees (AuD) in Communicative Disorders and Sciences from University at Buffalo, State University of New York.  His Bachelor of Science in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology (ASLP) is from Ali Yavar Jung National Institute for the Hearing Handicapped, Osmania University, Secunderabad, India.
