Dr. Mechelle Best Appointed Dean of HHD

The appointment of Dr. Mechelle Best as Dean of the College of Health and Human Development was announced today by Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Meera Komarraju. Best is in her fifteenth year of service to CSUN and has been Interim Dean since November, 2021. "I’m so very thrilled to be appointed as the Dean for HHD," Best said in an an announcement to the Chairs, Faculty and Staff of HHD. "Thank you for the trust and tremendous support you have shown me since I assumed the role of interim in 2021. I am excited and looking forward to the great work we will continue to do together." 2023 HHD Majors Fair Opens New Horizons for Undecided Students

Two days ago it was hot, today it was cold, but the chill in the air didn't stop students from venturing out to the 2023 HHD Majors Fair to discover what HHD's programs and departments have to offer. Students got a chance to find out more about what we do in our programs and departments in the college and to talk with HHD students, staff, faculty, and department chairs. See Photos on Facebook

HHD Teams Semi-Finalists in 2023 CSUN Bull Ring

2023 marks the 8th Annual Jeff Marine Bull Ring New Venture Competition Finals, "Shark Tank Meets Matadors," held by the Nazarian College of Business and Economics. HHD has had various teams competing since the competition began. This year we had teams from the Marilyn Magaram Center and well as from a multidisciplinary course project that was spearhead by Rodica Kohn/Kristin King (Family and Consumer Sciences/Interior Design).
