BSPH Internship  

The primary purpose of the internship is to provide public health students with an integrative public health learning experience, where they have the opportunity to apply the skills and knowledge they have acquired through their coursework to real world experiences.

Eligibility

In order to be eligible for HSCI 494PH, all students need to have met the following criteria:

  1. You must be a graduating senior set to graduate in the semester you are taking and completing your internship
  2. You must have applied for graduation.
  3. You must have completed HSCI 441 and earned a grade of C- or better.
  4. You must attend one of the scheduled Internship Orientations

Registering

  1. Register for internship the semester you are graduating!
  2. You will be able to self-register for internship (there is no permission #).
  3. Register for HSCI 494PH (2 units) and 494IPH (1 unit) at the same time.

Requirements

Students enrolled in 494 PH/I are required to complete a 135 hour internship the last semester in the program. This includes 120 hours in the field and 15 hours for class and assignments.

Internship Coordinator

Before contacting the internship coordinator, be sure you do the following:

  1. Visit your faculty advisor to ensure you are on track to graduate & release any holds. 
  2. When ready, apply to graduate (this can be done online).
  3. Review the Internship Canvas site
