Questions About Applying to the EOH Graduate Program
Are There Any Lower Division Courses Required ?
Effective immediately: Applicants must have completed the lower-division science core, in order to be accepted to the MS EOH program:
- One year of Biology with lab
- One year of Inorganic Chemistry with lab
- One semester of Organic Chemistry with lab
- College algebra and trigonometry. or pre-calculus
- One year of Physics with lab
- One semester of bio statistics or statistics
If these classes have been completed, the student may be considered for the MS EOH program on a Conditionally Classified Status. (You can find a definition of this below.)
Is the Graduate Record Examination (GRE) Required ?
How Do I Apply to the EOH MS Program ?
Students fulfilling undergraduate degree requirements at CSUN or elsewhere and intending to pursue graduate work should submit a new application to the University during their final semester of undergraduate work.

What are the Application Filing Periods and Deadlines ?
The application filing periods and deadlines vary from semester to semester for each major. It’s important to note that the Department of EOH does not establish these deadlines; therefore applicants should continually check the Admissions calendar for updates and changes. Is there any Additional Supplemental Material required when Applying ?
Applicants may be required to submit an essay.
What Happens After I Apply ?
If minimum university requirements are met, your application will be forwarded to the department and the Graduate Coordinator will determine eligibility for the Master's program. You should allow several weeks for processing by Admissions & Records and for review by the Department of EOH.
How Do I Find Out The Status of My Application ?
Admissions and Records provide online tools for you to monitor and complete your application process. Admissions and Records will send you a letter notifying you of your status, if you’ve been accepted into the program you will also receive a registration packet. In addition, you will receive an email from The Department of EOH which includes a Letter of Intent and a copy of your Graduate Admissions Evaluation /Change of Objective or 1295 Form.
What is Classified Status?
Classified Status means that you have met all of the requirements for admission as a Graduate student
