On behalf of the Office of Graduate Studies, I would like to extend a warm welcome to you as you embark on this exciting next chapter in your educational journey. As you begin your graduate program at CSUN, you are joining an amazing institution with a rich tradition of academic excellence. Our dedicated faculty members are experts in their respective fields and are committed to providing you with a hands-on and relevant educational experience.

At CSUN we believe that education extends beyond the classroom. As a graduate student, you will have access to an array of resources and opportunities that will enrich your learning experience. I encourage you to take advantage of all the opportunities that are presented to you.

We understand that the transition to graduate school can be both exhilarating and challenging. Our incredible graduate studies staff members are here to help you navigate through the academic requirements, explore funding opportunities and access research facilities. Additionally, we encourage you to connect with your fellow graduate students, as they can be a valuable source of support throughout your graduate journey.

If you are new to CSUN, we encourage you to explore our Graduate Student Slideshow Orientation. This five-part series provides helpful information, resources, and guidance to support your success during your first year at CSUN. The series will be emailed to all incoming graduate students in August.

The New Graduate Student Welcome serves as an overview of the campus and the many resources we offer. As a part of your introduction to the University, we have invited campus representatives, including all college Deans, to welcome you and discuss ways you may benefit from their services.

A special welcome will be extended to our new graduate students by the President’s Office, Provost’s Office, and Division of Student Affairs as we celebrate the beginning of your graduate journey at CSUN.
