Our mission, through regular community interaction and engagement efforts, is to be a trusted resource and partner for the surrounding communities. In doing this, we also build a strong base of support from key regional stakeholders. We do this by reinforcing the importance of public higher education to the community and economy. We reinforce with local officials that the return on investment in higher education for the community is significant.
The relationship between CSUN and our neighbors is critical in regards to workforce investment and economic development. Collaborating with the community on advocacy efforts highlights CSUN’s intricate role in bringing talent, innovation, and a highly skilled workforce to the community. Effective engagement, while cultivating relationships in the business community, is also essential for bringing stewardship and ongoing support for the university.
