Solar Financials Training Schedule

TRAINING DETAILS:

On-Line Requisitions

The On-Line Requisitions training will teach you how to create a basic requisition that will be submitted to Purchasing. The course includes an overview of the module and its role in the procurement process.

Chargebacks
The Chargeback training will teach you how to create a basic service request that will be submitted to one of the various service providers on campus. The course includes an overview of workflow and approvals required to complete a chargeback request.

Basic Financial Utilities and Tools
This class is designed to give an overview of the building blocks of the SOLAR Financials reconciliation tools. These tools include chartfields and their attributes (Chartfield Lookup), relationships of the chartfield values to each other (Trees), State Trust Application view, and Authorized Signature view. This class is recommended for those who intend to take the Advanced Tools session.

Advanced Financial Utilities and Tools
This course starts where the Basic Tools course ends. In this class, the following reconciliation views and tools are discussed:

  • General Ledger
  • Requisitions / Purchase Orders
  • Chargebacks
  • eTravel reconciliation and document tracking

eTravel Travel Authorization/Cash Advance
This class is designed to give an overview and hands on training of a travel authorization and cash advance. This course will teach you how to create, modify, withdraw and delete requests, including tips and tricks.

eTravel Expense Report/My Wallet
This class is designed to give an overview and hands on training of an expense report. This course will teach you how to create, modify, withdraw and delete requests, including tips and tricks.

To enroll, send an email to solarfin@csun.edu with the subject line of TRAINING REQUEST.

Include the following information:

  • Employee’s Name
  • Class and Date Requested
  • Department Name and Department No.
