At the end of my career, I would like to say that I have contributed to the prevention of childhood conduct disorders. I would like to look around me and see a group of former CSUN mentees who are accomplishing their personal goals, living a happy life, and contributing to society in a productive way.

Behavior analysts have made important discoveries about the social functions of mental illness. The time is right to use this information to determine effective strategies for the prevention of mental illness.

My applied behavior analytic research doubles as clinical service, so I am fortunate to make a positive impact on the lives of the participants in my studies. Research is challenging and, as with all things challenging, the rewards are great!
