Talent Search San Fernando Valley Northeast

California State University, Northridge (CSUN) proposes to provide Talent Search services to 200 middle school students and 400 high school participants annually, focusing its support on students enrolled in four middle schools, three high schools, and grade 9-12 of one K-12 school. The 8 target schools (Maclay, Pacoima, Sun Valley, and Van Nuys middle schools; San Fernando, Polytechnic, Van Nuys, and Fulton College Prep high schools) are located near the CSUN campus in the northeast San Fernando Valley (SFV) of north Los Angeles County. The target schools serve families in the SFV communities of Pacoima, Van Nuys, and Sun Valley, and have a combined enrollment of 5,592 middle school students and 10,131 high school students. All schools have high percentages of low income, first generation students.
