Sanjay Jain's research interests include imagination and future-making as social practice, technology entrepreneurship, industry emergence, market construction, innovation processes in emerging economies and qualitative methods. He has published articles in journals such as the Academy of Management Journal, Research Policy, Organization Studies, Strategic Entrepreneurship Journal, Industrial and Corporate Change and Asia-Pacific Journal of Management. He co-edited the Routledge Companion of Qualitative Research in Organization Studies. His research has received awards from the Academy of Management (Entrepreneurship Division) and the Western Academy of Management.

Sanjay teaches courses in Strategy at the Nazarian College of Business and Economics. Prior to CSUN, he was a faculty member at the University of Wisconsin – Madison, San Francisco State University and Santa Clara University. His non-academic work experience includes stints with Lintas Advertising and Wipro-GE Medical Systems.
