Dr. Krystal Howard teaches children’s literature and comics in the Interdisciplinary Studies & Liberal Studies and English Departments at CSUN. Her research focuses on form and cultural studies in literature for young readers, and her scholarship has appeared or is forthcoming in Children’s Literature Association Quarterly, Graphic Novels for Children and Young Adults, The Lion and the Unicorn, and Critical Insights: Neil Gaiman, among others.
