Brief Biography
Ghassan "Gus" H. Elias earned both his B.S. in Industrial & Manufacturing Engineering and his M.S. in Manufacturing Systems Engineering & Management from CSUN. He is a lecturer of Engineering (part-time faculty) and was appointed in the Spring of 2005 as the Director of the Online Graduate Program.
Additionally. Professor Elias consults on Risk Analysis, Forecasting & Decision-making, Facility Planning, Six-Sigma & Lean Manufacturing, Quality Assurance & Control, Productivity & Flow Analysis, Statistics, Innovation & Project Management, Engineering Economics, Procurement & Logistics, Material Control & Inventory Management, Industrial Safety (General/Ordinary Locations, Hazardous Areas & Potentially Explosive Atmospheres), Standards & Specifications, and Product Certifications (Non-Incendive & Intrinsic Safety Circuits, Flame & Explosion-Proof Enclosures).
Professor Elias is an associate member of the Institute of Industrial Engineers (IIE), the Student Association of Materials and Processing Engineers (SAMPE), a commissioned Notary Public in the State of California and is fluent in both Arabic and English. He enjoys the outdoors, hiking, automotive & mechanical repair, yard work, construction projects, riding motorcycles, exposure to different cultures, arts and classical music.
Professor Elias is a proud recipient of CSUN's prestigious 2005 Volunteer's Service Award.
