Dr. Frankline (Frankie) Augustin, MSHA, is a 2022-2023 American College of Education (ACE) Fellow and an award-winning Full Professor in the Health Administration Program at California State University, Northridge (CSUN). She is the College of Health and Human Development (CHHD) Dean's Fellow for Racial Equity. She has served as Special Assistant to the Dean and as Equity Faculty Affiliate for CSUN's Office of the Provost and the Office of Student Success. Dr. Augustin's research interests include cultural humility, racial equity, and workplace readiness. She has facilitated cultural competence, cultural humility, racial equity seminars and workplace readiness trainings for a variety of groups such as the University of Findlay Ohio, School of Pharmacy, Diversity Grand Rounds; and for ZOE International. In addition, Dr. Augustin has 8 years of governance experience, having served as Governing Board Director and Program Board Chair for Meet Each Need with Dignity (MEND Poverty), a nonprofit that serves families and individuals who experience low income by meeting their most immediate basic needs and helping them build resources and skills to address and overcome long-term poverty. She serves Tarzana Treatment Centers as an Advisory Board Subcommittee Member for Culturally Relevant Practices. Dr. Augustin is involved with her Church's Prison Ministry, called Into Focus, where she provides workforce development training to people who are incarcerated.
