2021 CSUN Alumni Engagement Award Nomination Form

Sponsored by the CSUN Alumni Association, the Alumni Engagement Award is presented to a staff, faculty, or administrator whose efforts, ideas, interactions, initiatives or communications result in the broader engagement of CSUN alumni in the life of the University.

The award recognizes employees whose exceptional efforts lead to greater alumni engagement and/or deeper alumni connectedness with the university. A successful honoree has demonstrated creativity, purposefulness and commitment to improving the inter-connectedness of alumni-to-alumni, alumni-to-students, alumni-to-employees or alumni to the University in general.

Through the CSUN Alumni Engagement Award, the CSUN Alumni Association expresses its pride and appreciation to an individual who does the important work of strengthening and building relationships with alumni. It focuses attention on outstanding persons and their accomplishments, but also on the vital relationship between employees and alumni in promoting the mission of the University.

Eligibility:

Recipients will be a regular full- or part-time staff member, faculty, or administrator of the university with a minimum of one year of service. The recipient need not be an alumna or alumnus of the University.

Criteria:

Nominations must provide specific examples of how the nominee has achieved the following:

1. Beyond the normal scope of their work duties, developed initiatives, communications, programs or contributed to the improvement of existing processes, which encouraged greater alumni connectedness to CSUN or engagement with a campus entity, area or constituency.
2. Developed successful collaborative relationships with alumni that resulted in progress towards achievement of University mission ad planning priorities.
3. Demonstrated commitment to living the university’s values of volunteerism and service to the university.

Nomination:

Please provide information pertaining to the Nominee, You (the Nominator), and the Nominee's Supervisor.

It is recommended that you use the preview of the nomination form provided on the Staff Service Awards page to prepare your responses so that you may paste them into the form in one sitting.

After you successfully submit your nomination, you will receive an email with which you can view and print a copy of your nomination. If you do not receive an email, you have not successfully submitted your nomination.

The nomination must be complete and received by Noon, Friday, June 11, 2021.
