Freshmen (First-time & Continuing) and Sophomore Students (advisement):
Freshmen and Sophomore students need to make an appointment with the CECS Student Services Center in JD 1501 or by calling 818-677-2191.
Entering Transfer Students (advisement is strongly recommended):
Students transferring courses from another college or university should make an appointment to see the Undergraduate Coordinator, by visiting JD 4509 or calling 818-677-2190.
Junior and Senior Students (advisement):
Junior and Senior students needing academic advisement need to make an appointment to see the Undergraduate Coordinator, by going to JD 4509 or calling 818-677-2190.
Academic Probation (mandatory advisement):
Students on academic probation must make an appointment with the Department Chair, Dr. Ali Amini, by visiting JD 4509 or calling 818-677-2190 for the mandatory advisement prior to registration.
Disqualified Students (mandatory advisement after receiving readmission letter):
Recently disqualified students, and those with questions regarding their readmission academic contracts, should make an appointment to see the ECE Department Chair, Dr. Law.
MEP/EOP Students (mandatory advisement):
Students participating in the MEP/EOP programs need to make an appointment with the CECS Student Services Center by visiting JD 1501 or calling 818-677-2191 for required advisement prior to registration.
Appointments can be made in JD 4509 or by calling 818-677-2190.
Graduation Evaluations and Senior Electives:
Senior students need to have a DPR review and graduation check done with the Undergraduate Coordinator at least one month before the deadline for submitting the Application for Graduation (for deadlines, visit http://www.csun.edu/admissions-records/uds/calendar).
To make a DPR review and grad check appointment with Dr. Law, go the JD 4509 or call 818-677-2190. After the grad check, the student must request a meeting with a full-time faculty advisor in their appropriate area of specialization to fill out a major evaluation (Senior Electives) form.
