Michael L. Mushet

Mr. Mushet earned his BS in electrical engineering from CSUN, and a MS in computer science from USC. He is a graduate of the University of Idaho Public Utilities Executive Program.

Mr. Mushet started his career at Southern California Edison as an electrical engineer focusing on information technology. He retired twenty seven years later after having served in a wide range of managerial responsibilities for system development, computer operations, quality assurance, cyber security, strategic planning and architecture. He published several articles and lectured nationally and internationally on information technology topics.

After leaving Edison, Mr. Mushet led the information technology efforts of several startup companies such as EarthLink Network, EncrypTix, and iBlast.

Mr. Mushet is currently the manager of architecture and planning at Bechtel-SAIC working on the development of the National nuclear repository for the Department of Energy at Yucca Mountain, Nevada.

He is a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers' Computer Society, the Association for Computing Machinery, and has served on the business advisory committees of Orange Coast College and California State University, Long Beach. He is a past Chairperson of the State of California Educational Technology Committee.
