Welcome back to the 2022-23 academic year! As our college moves forward this fall, we do so with strong student enrollment and programs, exceptional faculty, staff, and students, amazing school and community partners, and a passionate commitment to social justice in all that we do. As we ensure support, success, and belongingness for our College of Education community, our department offices, credential office, and Dean’s office are open in-person five days a week. In addition, we are offering classes both in-person and virtually or hybrid, when appropriate, in order to extend greater flexibility to our students. As always, our college top priorities continue to be the success of our students and programs, and the safety and well-being of our students, staff, faculty, and the community we serve. Updated campus safety information, including information about CSUN requirements for COVID vaccinations and masks, can be found at the COVID-19 Information page. In addition, we continue to offer self-care information at our college website https://www.csun.edu/eisner-education/self-care. Education Staff Win Service Awards

Several College of Education staff were recently recognized for their excellence in the 2022 CSUN Staff Service Awards. Congratulations to: Victoria Berrey, Family Focus Resource Center, who was awarded the CSUN Community Engaged Staff Award; and Kelly Riese, Elementary Education, who was recognized for the CSUN Award of Merit. Welcoming Angélica Galván

Angelica Galvan

Angélica Galván is a new addition to the Counseling Program in the Educational Psychology and Counseling Department at CSUN. She completed her doctorate in Counselor Education at The Pennsylvania State University. Angélica has a background in clinical mental health counseling and working with students with disabilities in the college setting. She also has experience in crisis counseling and substance use counseling in English and Spanish. Read more
