Welcome back to the 2021-22 academic year! Our college moves forward this fall with outstanding excellence despite the many challenges of the last year. We continue to have strong student enrollment and programs, exceptional faculty, staff, and students, amazing school and community partners, and a passionate commitment to social justice in all that we do. As we slowly and thoughtfully transition back to campus this fall, our college offices will offer ongoing virtual support as well as part time in-person support. Please watch the following Welcome Video for Students and look for emails that could announce future changes regarding safety as the campus closely monitors health conditions in Los Angeles area. In the meantime, be assured that updated campus safety information to support faculty, staff, and students, including information about requirements for COVID testing and vaccinations, can be found at MATADORS FORWARD. In addition, self-care for faculty, staff, students, and the schools and community we serve remain a top priority while many ongoing stressors confront us. Please watch for weekly information about resources for COVID recovery and well-being posted on our self-care website at https://www.csun.edu/eisner-education/self-care. We look to the future with hope and optimism, and plan to move college operations and most classes to an in-person format in the Spring 2022 semester, as long as safety permits. StrengthUnited was honored to receive this award and acknowledgment from our Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors. We want to thank Clint Molezion, a supervisor with the Claims Verification Unit at the LA County District Attorney’s Office for nominating StrengthUnited in the Fall of 2020 for our support and assistance provided to the victims of the Saugus High School mass shooting. We are especially proud of Victoria Berrey, who was awarded the CSUN Community Engaged Staff Award, and Kelly Riese, who was recognized for the CSUN Award of Merit. In addition, please join us in congratulating other College of Education staff for their incredible years of dedication and service in our college. 2021 Summer Math Camps with Cat Gaspard

Students in 2021 Summer Math Camps
Cathy Gaspard ran and researched 2 math camps this summer. The first camp was 2 weeks in June. It was an elementary and middle school math camp in the Val Verde School District (3rd - 8th grade). The second camp is a 4 week math camp at Northridge Academy High School [NAHS] July 6th - 30th. (this is the 6th year they are running it!) for all incoming ninth graders.
