CSUN Teams with The Ed Asner Family Center to Train Therapists to Work with Individuals with Autism

There are only a handful of therapists in Los Angeles who specialized in working with individuals with autism. California State University, Northridge is partnering with The Ed Asner Family Center to change that. Officials with CSUN’s Mitchell Family Counseling Clinic and Family Focus Resource Center will be working closely with the staff at The Ed Asner Family Center to train therapists who have the skills to work with individuals on the autism spectrum and their families. This is the final week of our self-care program this academic year. I want to thank all faculty and staff who participated this year, and a huge thank you to Josh Einhorn who lead our wonderful weekly meditation and inspiration sessions, and also brought incredible meditation leaders to our special monthly presentations. CSUN Eisner College Passes Credentialing Re-Accreditation with Flying Colors

California Commission on Teacher Credentialing watermark

This March, the Michael D. Eisner College of Education hosted a California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC) Accreditation team, which reviewed our 27 credential programs in depth. Following the site visit, we received the summary report with a unanimous recommendation of re-accreditation without any further conditions. This recommendation was approved by the Commission on Accreditation on May 2nd, with our programs being roundly praised.
