Video Game Design - High School

Description-
The Video Game Design course is an introductory course that teaches the foundations of creating video games in JavaScript. The course utilizes a blended classroom approach with the CodeHS website (https://codehs.com/course/2024). The content is fully web-based, with students writing and running code in the browser. Each unit of the course is broken down into lessons. Lessons consist of video tutorials, short quizzes, example programs to explore, written programming exercises, and end of unit exams. The units covered are as followed: Basic programming instruction with Karel, Javascript with Basic Graphics, Animation Within Your Games, Basic Data Structures, and creating various games. The potential games that can be created are Guessing Game, Crazy Ball Game, Breakout, Fun Snake, Tic Tac Toe, and Helicopter.
