Course Description:
This course will introduce students to the role of a 21st century journalist. Throughout the five-week course, students will immerse themselves in local and global news as a form of research. Students will then utilize the techniques taught in class to complete a newspaper issue by the end of the program. Students will have the ability to write a proper lead, complete an article, and edit other journalists. Finally, students will use a computer-based program to complete the online issue.
