Course Description: SAEP has partnered with CSUN's Department of Family and Consumer Sciences to turn our Culinary Camp into a class available for our Enrichment Program. The Marilyn Magaram Center for Food Science, Nutrition, and Dietetics will be teaching our students the basics of culinary skills, hands-on cooking, food science, and nutrition and provide students with the knowledge necessary to make healthier food and snack choices.
Students will work together in groups in an actual working teaching kitchen to learn cooking basics and explore the exciting world of culinary arts. Through this fun and engaging program, students will learn the real life applications of cooking skills that will be necessary throughout his/her lives.
