Description:
This course focuses on creative writing as an art form in the development of short stories and poems. Students will learn the fundamental features of short story skills including narration, plot, theme, description, dialogue, and characterization. Students will also work in different poetic forms including cinquain, free verse, narrative, and slam poetry. The use of various figurative language techniques and the creation of vivid imagery will also be stressed. Students will find their voices and enjoy expressing themselves in this enriching & engaging course!
