Chemistry Preview

Description: Giving students an opportunity to excel when taking Chemistry in the fall, this course reviews important mathematical skills necessary to succeed in Chemistry, such as Algebra skills, and dimensional analysis. It also introduces concepts of Chemistry by exposing students to a broad range of topics including: qualities, relationships, and transformations of the many substances that comprise our environment, atomic structure, the behavior of gases, liquids, solids, and solutions; chemical reactions; periodicity of elements; chemical bonding; bases, oxidation. This course will be taught with the goal of producing confident students who will find success in their chemistry classes during the school year.
