SAEP will offer the week-long 3D Printing Camp for grades 6-12. The program takes place from June 23 to June 27, 2018, the week prior to the official start of SAEP Enrichment and Academic classes. This half-day camp begins each morning at 8:00 a.m. and ends at 12:45 p.m. in the afternoon. You do not need to register for the five-week program in order to participate in the 3D Printing Camp.
Camp Description: SAEP has partnered with CSUN's Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME) club and engineering students in order to create a week-long camp that teaches students the basics of 3D Printing and, ultimately, provide students with the knowledge and practical skills necessary to build their own 3D printed prototype. This camp will introduce the world of additive manufacturing through lectures and projects. Starting from the basic fundamentals of product development, and introduction to 3D Computer-Aided Design software with Autodesk Inventor. The main principles of 3D printing technology will be introduced. An innovative 3D printing prototype will be conducted which students apply what they learned in a design project, participating students got an outstanding and enjoyable experience of the emerging 3D printing technology.
Cost: The cost of this program is $280.
