Supporting Our Community - StrengthUnited Update

March 20, 2020

We know that the new “Safer at Home” order will have a detrimental impact on the people and communities we serve. Effective Wednesday, March 18, we have temporarily closed our offices on CSUN campus, and in Northridge and Newhall. The Family Justice Center in Van Nuys will remain a 24/7 Acute Response Center.

StrengthUnited remains available to our clients, families, partners and community and will continue to meet the needs of the community through the continuation of our 24/7 Hotline. Our 24/7 hotline is fully staffed and ready to assist all, including those experiencing COVID-19 anxiety.

We recognize many in our community do not have someone close to them with whom they can share their concerns with. We stand ready to help. We have equipped our staff and volunteers with resources and information on how to stay safe, feel supported, and maintain vital connections.

Please contact one of our advocates who are available 24-hours a day:

San Fernando Valley (818) 886-0453

Santa Clarita Valley (661) 253-0258

(Los servicios también están disponibles en español.)

StrengthUnited has provided trauma-informed crisis intervention services in our community for more than 30 years, and we have mobilized in order to continue to provide critical services during this unprecedented event. We are grateful to our staff, volunteers, and partners who assist in meeting our mission dedicated to ending abuse, empowering families, and developing leaders.

We appreciate your ongoing support, and hope you and your loved ones are well and safe during this challenging time.

Sincerely,

Kim Goldberg-Roth
Executive Director
