Did you know that 1 in 4 women and 1 in 7 men have experienced severe physical violence from a partner in their lifetimes? Survivors of Domestic Violence experience not only physical injuries, but also financial hardship, mental health issues, and chronic lifetime health problems. And the current pandemic has exacerbated all of the stressors that can cause violent abuse. Throughout October, we will be raising funds to support our work with survivors of Domestic Violence. In response to racial injustice, civil unrest, and the Black Lives Matter Movement, StrengthUnited in collaboration with The Wellness Institute, and UrbanPromise LA have joined forces to provide a 4-part series via Zoom for the Canoga Park community and surrounding neighborhoods. The goals are to take action, raise awareness, and process racial injustice and its impact on our community from their home.  We are calling this Change 4 Community: Moving Towards Solidarity.
