We want to thank Clint Molezion, a supervisor with the Claims Verification Unit at the LA County District Attorney’s Office for nominating StrengthUnited in the Fall of 2020 for our support and assistance provided to the victims of the Saugus High School mass shooting. Gift to Strength United Aims to Prevent Domestic Violence and Educate Youth

Children who are exposed to domestic violence in the home are particularly susceptible to continuing the cycle. Thanks to a $300,000 grant from J.B. & Emily Van Nuys Charities, Strength United — a chartered center established by the California State University, Northridge Michael D. Eisner College of Education to support individuals affected by violence, sexual abuse and trauma — will expand its Safe Dates program, aimed at educating youth on how to prevent dating violence, victimization and perpetration, with the goal of breaking the cycle. We need your help: StrengthUnited is a finalist for funding through the Northeast Valley Best Start initiative, and we need your vote. If you are 16+ and live, work, or volunteer in the Northeast Valley, you can vote. 

Please go to, and click on “Vote Now” by this Sunday, 5/23. You will be asked to register and confirm via text message before you access the ballot. Once you have done so, look for "Workshop series: Raising an emotionally healthy child and reducing parental stress" // Organization: Strength United” on the ballot form.
