Dear College of Education Community,
It is so important for faculty and staff to take care of ourselves but we also must be mindful of self-care for those whom we serve-especially our students. There are two wonderful self-care workshops available to students in October through the Tea Haven Project offered by the CSUN Marilyn Magaram Center for Food Science Nutrition, and Dietetics. The workshops focus on promoting student mental health & wellness through tea, music, creative arts, and guided meditations. These workshops could be a great opportunity for your students to practice self-care during this busy semester!
Here are the upcoming free workshops for the month of October.
- Thursday, October 16th, 2025, from 2:30pm – 4:00pm in the MMC SMART Garden, located in Sequoia Hall Courtyard
- Thursday, October 23rd, from 12:00pm – 1:00pm in the University Library, Garden Level, Room UL3
For a list of other self-care options, you can also go to our COE self-care website for resources for faculty, staff, students, and the community at
https://www.csun.edu/eisner-education/self-care
These workshops are open to all CSUN students so please share widely! Thanks!
Warmly,
Shari
