COE Self-Care Activities Spring 2019 - Week 1

January 21, 2019

Welcome back to spring semester and our COE staff and faculty self-care activities! Today, in honor of Martin Luther King, Jr., we encourage you to participate in the third annual National Day of Racial Healing (NDORH). Information may be found at

https://dayofracialhealing.org/

The NDORH work is part of the W.K. Kellogg Foundation’s Truth, Racial Healing, & Transformation (TRHT) effort. The NDORH website provides educators with a set of resources to assist you and your colleagues in working toward this important calling. The PDF may be downloaded at

Please also feel free to promote NDORH on social media using #HowWeHeal in your postings.

Today, we also begin our spring COE self-care activities on Wednesday, January 23rd, from 1:30-2PM in the CTL conference room with our wonderful meditation leader Josh Einhorn. Please note that this is the new time for weekly meditation this semester.  And be sure to mark your schedules for our first monthly presentation on Yoga at Your Desk, on Tuesday, Feb. 5th from 12-1 PM in Ed 1214. Lunch will be included.

Finally, we also are excited to announce that our COE self-care program is featured in the current PSD-NEWS letter from CTC that goes out to teachers state-wide. An email including this news letter was sent to all of you last Friday, and you can also sign up for this e-newsletter at the CTC website.

Please look for weekly emails on upcoming self-care activities, and keep checking the website at
