COE Self-Care Activities Fall 2019 - Week 2

September 3, 2019

Dear College of Education Staff and Faculty,

We are excited to announce that the Educational Psychology and Counseling Department's Diversity Committee will be co-sponsoring a workshop with the self-care program entitled “Unconscious Bias and Its Impact on Teaching” with facilitator Marcy DeVeaux, Ph.D, Professor of Journalism and Associate Director of Faculty Development, on Tuesday, October 1st, from 11-1pm in Education 1214. Dr. DeVeaux is an incredible and impactful presenter, so this is a session you will want to attend. And lunch will be provided! Please note that we have rescheduled the presentation “Safety in our College of Education Building” with Chief of Police Greg Lee Murphy from Oct. 1st to a new time on Dec. 3rd from 12-1 in 1214/16.

During the month of September, we will continue to offer 30 minutes of inspiration and guided relaxation with Josh Einhorn every Wednesday. Come enjoy time for you to relax this Wednesday, September 4th from 1:30-2:00 in CTL Conference Room!

Please look for weekly emails on upcoming self-care activities, and keep checking the website at http://www.csun.edu/eisner-education/self-care
