COE Self-Care Activities Fall 2019 - Week 13

November 18, 2019

Dear College of Education Staff and Faculty,

Our hearts go out to all who have been impacted following the sad and tragic shooting at Saugus High School in Santa Clarita last week. Now is the time for gratitude for the safety and well-being of ourselves and our loved ones. I am very grateful to our COE students and faculty who have been on the frontlines, responding with support during this crisis, and especially to those at Strength United. Please see resources below emailed earlier to our COE that may help us be of assistance. Please also consider attending our healing and inspiring relaxation session with Josh Einhorn on Wednesday, November 20th, from 1:30-2:00 in CTL Conference Room.

The Strength United Center, a part of the Michael D. Eisner College of Education at CSUN, would like to extend  FREE counseling support for the recent tragic shootings in Santa Clarita. www.strengthunited.org

This center has offices in Newhall and offers counseling and services for crisis situations services through the “Trauma Recovery Center” funded by the California Victims of Crime Compensation Board.  Wendy Massey LMFT is the Clinical Supervisor of the program. Our team has reached out to Federal, State and Local government officials to lend our support. We invite those impacted by the recent shootings to contact us for FREE support services.
