COE Self-Care Activities Fall 2019 - Week 1

August 26, 2019

Dear College of Education Staff and Faculty,

Welcome back to a an exciting new year of College of Education faculty and staff self-care! This year, we will continue with meditation as a favorite self-care theme. Josh Einhorn will offer 30 minutes of inspiration and guided relaxation every Wednesday from 1:30-2:00 in CTL Conference Room. Come join Josh this Wednesday, August 28th, and find out why so many others have enjoyed this activity! In addition, this year we will have the opportunity to attend some presentations on new types of meditation, such as healing through sound meditation, and forest bathing, a form of meditation in nature.

We will also have a safety theme this year with special self-care sessions on first aid preparedness, safety in our building, and earthquake preparedness, presented by either our CSUN Chief of Police Greg Murphy, or Lisa  Curtis, CSUN Police Services Emergency Manager. Our college places a high priority on safety for faculty, staff and students, so we hope you will benefit from these sessions.

Please look for weekly emails on upcoming self-care activities, and keep checking the website at http://www.csun.edu/eisner-education/self-care
