Preparation and Retention of Social Justice and Equity-Minded Educators of Deaf Students

WANT TO TEACH DEAF STUDENTS?

Project PRISM-Ed is looking for scholars who are interested in teaching students from a social justice, linguistic justice and equity-minded lens to meet the current needs of deaf students in California. Special consideration will be given to deaf scholars and those from traditionally underrepresented communities.

BENEFITS

1. Individual ASL Mentorship

You will receive individualized, one-on-one ASL Mentorship and support to develop ASL proficiency

2. Stipends for Tuition and Books

You will receive individualized, one-on-one ASL Mentorship and support to develop ASL proficiency You will receive stipends each semester you are in the program to cover the cost of tuition, books, and travel expenses.

3. Social & Linguistic Justice Activities

You will have opportunities to participate in social justice, linguistic justice, and equity-based activities, as well as programs and presentations to promote advocacy and leadership.
