ELPS faculty member Dimpal Jain, along with co-authors from UCLA Santiago Bernal Melendez and Alfred Herrera, have published a book with Michigan State University Press entitled Power to the Transfer: Critical Race Theory and a Transfer Receptive Culture.  The book focuses on the development and maintenance of a transfer receptive culture which is defined as an institutional commitment by a university to support transfer students of color.
