On September 19, 2019, the Valley Academy of Arts & Sciences (VAAS) hosted an outdoor event for the community.
250 community members attended, along with CSUN faculty, K-12 teachers; and personnel from LDNW district office. 19 schools were represented -- 3 high schools (NAHS; Valley Academy of Arts & Sciences; Kennedy High School); 3 middle schools; and 13 elementary schools.
Each school had its own tent. Information about the special attributes and programs offered at each school were shared with students and parents so they can make informed decisions about where to attend.
There were many performances such as a marching band and a dance troupe.
In the NAHS tent, community members learned of the special partnership between NAHS and CSUN, and the wonderful summer Math Camp that has been offered each year at NAHS.
