We are proud that the Michael D. Eisner College of Education remains one of the largest Colleges of Education in the CSU system, providing to our surrounding communities hundreds of outstanding new professionals in the fields of education, counseling, administration, and Deaf Studies. The Eisner College engages in transformative education and initiatives that put into practice our commitment to social justice, equity, access, and inclusion, and supporting the social-emotional well-being of university, school, and community members. I am grateful to our talented faculty, staff, alumni, and community partners, all instrumental in ensuring the excellence of our educational programs and community-serving centers. We have much to celebrate as we send forth our students to make positive contributions to our world!

Amy Hanreddy Wins CalTASH Robert Gaylord-Ross Memorial Award

Congratulations to Dr. Amy Hanreddy, who was nominated and selected to be the recipient of this year's CalTASH Robert Gaylord-Ross Memorial Award! This award is given to an outstanding scholar involved in conducting and disseminating research and in providing teacher training at the university level in the area of services and support for individuals with severe disabilities. Dominic Grasso

Dr. Dominic Grasso is joining the Department of Elementary Education as an assistant professor! Dr. Grasso's research areas include literacy and reading teacher education, the use of literacy as a tool for social justice, and inclusive teacher education with special emphasis on anti-racist teacher education and LGBTQ inclusive curricular and literacy practices. Meet Samantha Stewart, Education Alumni Chapter Board Member

Each time I spend time with our Alumni Chapter Board, I learn more about the ways CSUN, especially the Michael D. Eisner College of Education, connects with and positively impacts the community. The ECE Masters program faculty, and program culture as a whole, really promoted social justice and advancing the field. Education is an underappreciated profession, and the work CSUN does provides more legitimacy and professionalism for the field by showing what we are capable of! I am impressed by the scholarships and grants of which the Michael D. Eisner College of Education is in charge, such as vital work with LAUSD, and the accomplishments make me proud to be a Matador!
