College Receives Award to Support BIPOC Teachers

July 13, 2021

The Michael D. Eisner College of Education has been awarded $165,000 in funding over two years from the CSU through a $3 million grant (2021-2024) from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation (BMGF) to support the CSU Center for Transformational Educator Preparation Programs (CTEPP). The work of those connected to the center focuses on recruiting, preparing, and retaining BIPOC teachers to serve California’s diverse student population. CTEPP will officially begin during the Fall 2021 semester with four CSU campuses that were selected to participate in the CSU’s Learning Lab to Close the Teacher Diversity Gap: Bakersfield, Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, Humboldt and CSU Northridge. We are proud to a part of the work of CTEPP.
