Revised Application Process for Early Childhood Program

April 1, 2020

Dear Prospective Early Childhood Education Graduate Student,

The New Application Process as of March 20, 2020

As a result of Covid-19, we are doing things differently as is everyone!  Here is what we will be doing with regard to our applications.

  1. Submission of paperwork will be through the link on our website as usual.  This includes an application to the Department of Educational Psychology and Counseling (Early Childhood option) and to Graduate Studies (no changes).
  2. The new application deadline is May 1, 2020.
  3. Please send your personal statement, electronic versions of all your undergraduate transcripts, and a current resume to the following three people:
    1. Dr. Carrie Rothstein-Fisch   carrie.rothstein-fisch@csun.edu  (and ask questions!)
    2. Dr. Joannie Busillo-Aguayo    jaguayo@csun.edu
    3. Ms. Shantelle Blackburn   shantelle.blackburn@csun.edu

Send these as soon as possible and be sure that your email address and current phone number are on your resume, should we need to contact you.

  4. You will be interviewed by a team of faculty and current students via Zoom.  Meeting information for this on-line interview will be forthcoming once we receive your statement of purpose, resume, and transcripts.

As you look to the future, a Master of Arts in Early Childhood will pave a productive and meaningful life for you.  Let’s give children the full advantage of evidence-based practices and family support.   We invite you to learn more and join us in leadership and advocacy.

Looking forward to learning with you,

Dr. Carrie Rothstein-Fisch and Dr. Joannie Busillo-Aguayo
