Jennifer Vargas Pemberton, Diane Gerhart, and Sheree Shraeger recently presented at the International Convention of Psychological Science, speaking on "Using Virtual Reality to Prepare Clinicians Working with Vulnerable Populations". This symposium presented the SIMPACT Immersive Learning Program, a virtual/mixed reality methodology that has important implications for enhancing the mental health treatment approaches. Read more

Jennifer Pemberton receives Dignity Health-Northridge Foundation award from Paul Watkins, Northridge Hospital President and Carol Stern, Northridge Hospital Board Chairman.

Mitchell Family Counseling Center Offers Free Therapy to Fire and Shooting Victims

Mitchell Family Counseling Center at California State University Northridge wishes to express our deepest condolences to those who have been affected by the tragedy in Thousand Oaks and support and encouragement to those in the surrounding areas affected by the fires. The clinic offers low-fee therapy services to the local community. If you have been directly affected by these recent events, and would like therapeutic support, we are offering up to 4 free sessions of individual, couple, or family therapy. Read more
