Welcome Back to Spring 2022 from Dean Tarver Behring

Shari Tarver Behring

Welcome back to an unexpected start to Spring 2022! The Michael D. Eisner College of Education will continue to offer outstanding programs despite the challenges we currently face due to the pandemic. Classes, which were offered virtually for the first three weeks of the semester due to the Omicron surge, will return to the originally published class modality for spring semester (in-person, hybrid, HyFlex, virtual, etc.) starting February 14th. Please stay in close communication with instructors and departments regarding class status, and use our website for information on how to connect with departments and faculty. Our situation on campus is fluid, so please be aware that changes could occur based on safety concerns in the future. Updated campus safety information to support faculty, staff, and students, including information about requirements for COVID testing, vaccinations, booster shots, and masks can be found at MATADORS FORWARD. In addition, self-care for faculty, staff, students, and the schools and the community we serve remain a top priority while many ongoing stressors confront us. Please watch for weekly information about resources for COVID recovery and well-being posted on our self-care website and through messaging regarding the CSUN Campus Care Recovery Plan. We seek the future with compassion, hope, and optimism, and look forward to reconnecting with faculty, staff, and students in the Spring 2022 semester. Stay safe and well, and know that we are here to support you!
