Deaf Studies Hosts Events for Prospective Students and Alumni

Deaf Studies Alumni Panel

The Deaf Studies Advisement Office recently hosted an event to encourage our students to pursue graduate programs at CSUN. We also hosted an Alumni Panel where our alumni shared about their career journey after graduation and current careers/positions. Here in Deaf Studies we love to provide opportunities for our alumni to share their knowledge and experiences with the next generation of future graduates! Black Deaf History Month

Black Deaf History Month

The Black Signers Club hosted three virtual Black Deaf History month events. This is the first year the club has hosted an international event. They invited two Black Deaf community members, Lydia Gratis and Romeo Belcher, from Ireland to share more about their thoughts on the hidden expectations, challenges and acts of resistance needed to be successful within the Deaf education system in Ireland.  Read more
