Internship Information

University Intern Credentials are an alternative pathway to earning a California teaching or service credential that links a professional credential preparation program with employment as a beginning teacher, school counselor or school psychologist in a school district. Qualified individuals are authorized to teach on a California Education Specialist, Multiple Subject, Single Subject, School Counselor, or School Psychologist Intern Credential. Through a partnership between the school district and CSUN, interns complete a state-approved professional education program. The College is not involved in finding internship positions for its students. If you are interested in the Intern option, you are responsible for securing employment in a public-school setting.
