COE Self-Care Activities Spring 2019 - Week 1

Welcome back to spring semester and our COE staff and faculty self-care activities! Today, in honor of Martin Luther King, Jr., we encourage you to participate in the third annual National Day of Racial Healing. Our Spring COE self-care activities start on Wednesday, January 23rd, from 1:30-2PM in the CTL conference room with our wonderful meditation leader Josh Einhorn. Welcome back to spring semester and our COE staff and faculty self-care activities! This spring, we continue our theme of “The many ways to meditate and how this can benefit our lives.” Our spring activities will have new and exciting experts and include the topics of meditation and chair yoga at your desk, meditation and breathing to reduce stress especially tailored for educators and staff, and meditation and fractal art as an immersive experience. This week we encourage you to attend a special event (with lunch) on Tuesday, Dec. 4th from 12-1 in the TLCC library on Mindful Meditation and Sound with David Boyns, Director of the CSUN Institute for Community Health and Wellbeing. On Wednesday, November 28th, from 1-1:30 in the CTL conference room we will offer our final self-care meditation session of the semester with Josh Einhorn. Mitchell Family Counseling Center Offers Free Therapy to Fire and Shooting Victims

Mitchell Family Counseling Center at California State University Northridge wishes to express our deepest condolences to those who have been affected by the tragedy in Thousand Oaks and support and encouragement to those in the surrounding areas affected by the fires. The clinic offers low-fee therapy services to the local community. If you have been directly affected by these recent events, and would like therapeutic support, we are offering up to 4 free sessions of individual, couple, or family therapy. Read more
