Welcome back to spring 2023 in the Michael D. Eisner College of Education! We are here to ensure a positive start to the semester for our College of Education students, with our department offices, credential office, and Dean’s office open in-person five days a week for support. In addition, we are offering classes both in-person and virtually or hybrid, when appropriate, in order to extend greater flexibility to our students. As always, our college’s top priorities continue to be the success of our students and programs, and the safety and well-being of our students, staff, faculty, and the community we serve. We look to forward to the new year with renewed hope and enthusiasm.

Project CREATE: Preparing Culturally Responsive Early Educators in Teacher Education

Congratulations to Dr. Zhen Chai and the rest of the Project CREATE team for receiving a United States Department of Education award in the amount of $1.1 million. The purpose of this project is to support a newly modified Early Childhood Special Education Preliminary Credential Program and to prepare competent culturally responsive early childhood special educators/early interventionists who will be eligible for the California Preliminary Education Specialist Credential.
