ACT Residency Program Expands Work with LAUSD Through CTC Grant

March 14, 2023

The CSUN ACT Residency Program is pleased to announce they have renewed and expanded their collaboration with the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) through a grant awarded by the Commission on Teacher Credentialing. This grant will support future teachers in Special Education, Secondary Education (Math and Science candidates only), and Elementary Education (emphasis in TK/K and/or a Bilingual Authorization). Each selected grant candidate will receive a one-year stipend of $20,000 while completing their credential program and must commit to teach in LAUSD for four years once obtaining a credential. The total funding for the grant over the next four years is $3 million, most of which goes directly to CSUN credential students.
