The Accelerated Collaborative Teacher Residency Program at California State University, Northridge (CSUN), is pleased to announce a grant obtained by the Commission on Teacher Credentialing, in partnership with the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD). Selected candidates will receive a stipend of $20,000 while completing a teacher credential program and a one-year residency, with an assigned mentor teacher (Fall 2023-Spring 2024). Candidates must commit to teach in LAUSD for a minimum of four years.

Are you eligible?

Multiple Subject Credential Candidates who are:

  • Pursuing a credential in the 2-semester full-time ACT Residency Program focusing on Transitional Kindergarten or Kindergarten (TK/K) or a Bilingual Authorization.
  • Completing the final year of the post-baccalaureate traditional (TRAD) or undergraduate integrated program (ITEP) and focusing on TK/K and/or a Bilingual Authorization. This includes a one-year residency (fall semester supervised fieldwork and spring semester student teaching).

Single Subject Credential Candidates who are:

  • Pursuing a mathematics or science education credential in the 2-semester full-time ACT Residency Program.
  • Pursuing a mathematics or science education credential in the traditional (TRAD) or FYI/JYI program in their final year. This includes a one-year residency with two semesters of student teaching (starting in fall semester).

Special Education Mild/Moderate and Extensive (MME) Support Needs and Deaf Education Credential Candidates who are:

  • Pursuing a credential in the 2-semester full-time ACT Residency Program.
  • Completing the final year of the post-baccalaureate traditional (TRAD) or undergraduate integrated program (ITEP). This includes a one-year residency (fall semester supervised fieldwork and spring semester student teaching).
